Recently Completed Works

I've just completed updating Great War Triptych for chorus and string quartet setting poems written during World War I. The first two movements were performed last June at the Walden School's Creative Musicians Retreat. Click here for an audio recording of that performance along with a synthesized audio of the third movement. Click here to see the piano vocal score for the complete work with program notes. I've discovered a wonderful poet, Connie K. Walle. Her book, What's Left, is full of touching, heartfelt poems. I've set one of these for solo soprano and piano in honor of my wife's sixty-fifth birthday. It's called Write Me a Love Poem. Click here for an audio recording of the song, and here to see the score. Also for my wife's birthday, I arranged Sonnet for a Major Birthday for solo voice and piano.
