Recently Completed Works

Eulogy for soprano and string trio was completed in 2018. It was composed for the 50th anniversary of the death of Martin Luther King, Jr. Two months before he was assassinated, he gave a sermon that ended with his own eulogy, telling the congregation what he would want said at his funeral. Eulogy is my musical setting of this portion of Dr. King's sermon. It was performed twice last year and will be performed three times over the upcoming MLK weekend. Click here for more information on the concerts, which will include a number of new works written specifically for the 50th anniversary. Click to see the score or listen to a synthesized recording of the piece.
